It’s a Grind Best Coffee Shop in OC 2007

The Best Coffee Shop in Orange County is: ‘It’s a Grind"   The best one is on Culver in Irvine, second best on Tustin Ave in Anaheim? At both locations I am impressed with the friendly staff, Free WiFi, which is a deal maker for me since I live with my lap-top. Oh yeah and the coffee tastes great. It is too bad that people are willing to pay more for a whole lot less.(Starbucks) or this would be the number one franchise. The next best is Diedrich they also are fair on the pricing and allow you to surf for free as long as you get a code from the coffee makers (is that the correct term, aka soda jerk in the old days? ) Diedrich is supposed to be rebranded as Starbucks soon an obvious bad move. As is true in most of the corporate world there are a bunch of high paid idiots who are probably inbreads from the CEO who make lists of things people would want from a coffee shop and then do the opposite. The rest of the top coffee shops includes Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf only because they made the best frozen chocolate milk I have ever had, Their WiFi is at&T which is overpriced and didnt work either. To pad the list Peets coffee is ok, I had it while travelling in Portland. Seattles Best would be next than McDonalds, Jack in the Box and eventually Starbucks. Top Coffee Shops in Orange County 1) It’s a Grind 2) Diedrich 3) Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf 4) Peets Coffee 5) Seattles Best 6) Mc Donalds 7) Jack in the Box 8) 7-11 9) Circle K 10) Roach Coach There are a lot of reasons why I am eliminating Starbucks from my list of best coffee shops in Orange County. They have a corporate mentality, a full price policy including charging you for WiFi through T Mobile 9.95 a trip unless you have an account with them. The coffee is not that great either. I guess because they are the most popular they can get away with being a generic ho hum place to go. A no frills shop that is about as generic as McDonalds. Personally I would rather drink McDonalds coffee than Starbucks Do you agree?  (note this is not an advertisement, it is a review by the author of coffee shops he either likes or dislikes.
